More Death Guard Progress for my Assembly Challenge

Hi all. My January 2026 Assembly Challenge ends in a couple of days so I wanted to get in another post with some more of my own progress. But first …

Remember, the challenge ends on January 31st and I will start putting together the round up after that. Please comment in my original challenge post with a URL(s) where I can grab some pictures or send them to me directly at my hobby email:

I’ll post anything I receive on or before February 6, 2026. Feel free to let me know what it is you assembled and anything you’d like to make sure gets said about it in the post, if you wish.

Below is a little Death Guard quadrumvirate (left to right) of a death shroud terminator, the Lord of Contagion, a plague marine sort of hiding in the back, and the Tallyman.

Some heavy hitters from the “Maggot Lords” Combat Patrol box.

I left off the Lord’s weird skirt of cables and what looks like skin for painting though I think he looks ok without it. I’ll probably still use it though.

The marine has a plague spewer. It didn’t work out for me too well trying to glue his arms on, so I used green stuff and fiddled around trying to make a little tentacle and some weird flesh. I tried my hand at a tendon or two, but we’ll see how that goes once it is painted.

So except for one more terminator who is current a pile of parts on my hobby table, the Death Guard patrol box is complete. I did leave off a few bits here and there, for painting though if I want to play a game with it my little collection before painting (likely) I can blue tack my guys into some semblence of order. *

Also got the plague marine’s and Tallyman’s ride, at least in Combat Patrol where he doesn’t generate CPs anyway, magnetized so I can switch out stuff on the front hatches.

That’s all I have for now. I’m going to work on that last terminator tonight and hopefully get everything off of the sprues for a Kill Team Universal Equipment box I bought before February.

Take care all!

Anne

* With the help of a fully-assembled Tallyman of course!

My poor Lord of Poxes, who I put together some weeks ago, remains as a collection of sub-assemblies in a baggy forlorn and mostly forgotten. I really like him both for his rules and his look, but I can’t really use him WYSIWYG in Combat Patrol so I’m going to paint my Lord of Contagion first. Honestly I like him even better and think he looks kind of bad ass. 🙂
